This is a perfect Sunday afternoon read, Ayush. Hilarious and so real 😂

I keep fantasizing about feet and head massages but never dare to actually get one.

Haha thank you Natasha :)

Getting a massage for the first time took more courage than I would've thought necessary for sure :D

Fun read Ayush. I am a massage junkie. If I ever become super rich, my first indulgence would be a full-time masseuse. One day try an Ayurvedic foot massage. You can thank me later 😁

Loved this! I cannot explain to you how deeply, and viscerally, I relate to your aversion to having strangers touch you.

I also have a horror massage story, and after reading your piece, I think I have a writing prompt so thank you for that too!

I reached this essay after reading in order the @OchreSkyStories Edition 23 collection ; gentle very 'deep: women's writing preceded your piece. Deep of another kind - induced deep belly laughs early in the morning and now I am craving a deep tissue massage. Atleast you spared me the trouble of making a choice from the elaborate menu. I now have a plan for my Sunday away from home. Recommend every massage and spa ritual all the women have recommended and if you get to Puri one on the beach with the glorious view of the sea.to be followed by the sweetest Rossogollas. You will not regret it.

I'm really glad to hear about the laughs! 😄 Thank you for reading, for the feedback and the Puri recommendation. It sounds wonderful and Odisha is a state I haven't been too yet so I added reason to go now!

"The booklet we were given was longer than the menu cards of restaurants that serve South Indian, North Indian, Chinese and Chats." So funny!! I am only halfway through.

I've never had a massage and have always detected when elders asked me to massage their shoulders or whatever. I do massage my wife ( if we can call it that) but have even resisted her offer if I had stiff back or whatever after playing. Now I think maybe I should try once and see what exactly it offers.

You've already said what I feel I would be experiencing

This is hilarious - I say as I'm about to book a massage as my husband's b'day gift! Btw, ever tried a Moroccan bath?!

This essay could have been written by me… not as well, but same feelings and experiences with massages 😀😀

Delightful! I've never yet had the courage to have a massage beyond that of my head and lower legs (during my very rare pedicures). There seems to be hope for me in this life!

I feel less neurodivergent after reading this piece!( Especially since I am based out of Kerala.) Thanks for a beautiful Sunday evening read. And as Rohan Banerjee says, its a prompt - if not for writing, many other things which are common but haven't been attempted.
