Ayush, this is amazing! I recently read about the Malabar Trogon and have been so mesmerized - finding it via your essay was double delight! And got to meet the Frogmouth too. Such incredible birds. Please write more for the very amateur birder in me :)
With the good doctor at home I am a border too; and this essay with so much of details was marvellous. I went on that walk with you. I also believe that idlis are perfect breakfast 🤭. Stewing here in the heat of the city that walk in the Amboli forest was such a treat. Will be happy to have details of Kaka and hopefully visit someday.
Wow! Such fascinating birds! Especially the Frogmouth. Loved reading your description of that spotting:)
Thank you Binu! Trying to figure nature writing and it is different from other kinds. Hoping to do more of it but
But.. ?
Lovely read, Ayush. I could feel the tension (and thrill) of pursuing an elusive sighting.
Thank you Rohan! I'm glad that came through.
Fellow birder. Do share details of Praveen. If I ever take this hike, I will surely get in touch. Loved your writing, as always.
Thank you so much Punit! I don't have Praveen's contact details but I do have Kaka's and he'll arrange it. Just reach out whenever you need it.

Really glad you liked it, Doel! And hope you get to see the Trogon soon :)
